The Importance of Having Faith in Life, by Randi G Fine

There are many times in life when we find ourselves walking in the dark, faithfully moving forward but unsure of where we are heading, what obstacles we will bump into, or what me might stumble upon along the way.

The only way to successfully navigate through the uncertainties of life is to have faith in something greater than ourselves.  Some call that source God and some refer to it as their Higher Power. Others look to The Universe.  The important thing is that we have a reliable source of faith to call on in times of need. What we name that source does not matter.

Experience proves that there is a purpose for everything; even our deepest pain.  No one escapes the impasses of life.  There are times when our troubles loom large and are completely beyond our control.  We only have two choices when we’re halted: give up or trust that there will be a brighter tomorrow.  The decision should be obvious, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Relinquishing control of our life to an intangible source takes tremendous faith and courage.  So often we are stopped in our tracks just so we may develop that faith.  We are all spiritual beings.  Though we exist in the physical world as human beings, our purpose is one with God, The Universe, or whatever  Higher Power we choose to believe in.   Adversity serves to remind us of that.

When we begin to seek a purpose for everything that happens, we grow stronger and so does our faith.  The stronger our faith becomes, the more miracles we can recognize.  Our ability to trust and to surrender our control gets easier over time.

When we have faith it will always reward us by proving its purpose.
